The writer
A girl lost in translation. Cinema lover, currently crushed on Godard. Worst temper than Mr. Darcy's. Too concerned with politics and philosophy for a medical student. Left wing. Name a western and I'll tell you the story. ♥
One of the Hollywood 40's classics: Gilda (directed by Charles Vidor - 1946).
I really adore Glenn Ford and Rita Hayworth, their characters are brilliant as well as the drama in itself. The best hate/love relationship ever:
Gilda: Would it interest you to know how much I hate you, Johnny?
Johnny Farrell: Very much.
Gilda: I hate you so much that I would destroy myself to take you down with me.
, in a story so well written that doesn't make it seem lame or stupid.
Wonderful film, this one. I saw it for the second time yesterday, but it's one of those films which are so perfect that you want to see them again and again.
Of course I would have to put this one, too. Put the blame on me, boys.
- you can see it online here although it doesn't have subtitles.
